Shiva is one of the most important gods in Hinduism. He is considered as the destroyer avataar of the supreme god. In fact, the name Shiva is almost synonymously used with Brahma, the ultimate truth or the creator of life. Shiva is usually seen with a third eye on his forehead, a serpent around his neck, the adorning crescent moon, the holy Ganga river flowing from his hair and with the Trishula weapon and a Damru.
